IF YOU DO IT DURING THE CRISIS IT IS ALREADY TOO LATE

8/4/2020
During the lockdown I saw many small businesses opening new websites to try to contain the drop in sales. Sites set up quickly and without a commercial strategy (fortunately not all) or a serious editorial marketing plan.
I would like to start by saying that I admire those who do not stand still, are not discouraged and react to market adversities, but unfortunately the remedial attempts made in times of crisis are unlikely to achieve great success.
As the CEO of an Italian pharmaceutical company said in an interview, investments to find the Covid-19 vaccine cannot be made when the pandemic is at its peak, but very before.
He was referring to the fact that years of experimentation and study are needed before arriving at a vaccine. The same thing happens for your website; you cannot hope to obtain immediate results because the market needs time to get to know you and "understand" you.

ARE YOU WAITING FOR THE NEXT CRISIS TO CREATE YOUR ONLINE CATALOG?
If you own or manage a small business it would ALWAYS be advisable to combine your traditional sales force with the digital part such as a website, a subscription to a portal (including e-commerce), a serious activity in social networks or the use of email marketing.
If you move first, you have plenty of time to prepare your strategy, plan the actions to implement and verify the results.
The market (therefore your potential customers and others) will have the opportunity to get to know you, to qualify you and to understand that you will be able to propose interesting products to offer.
For this, fundamental ingredients are needed: time, good products and above all a lot of perseverance.

BETTER TO DO IT WHEN YOU HAVE THE RESOURCES
During a crisis you certainly have fewer resources available and your mind is under stress so it is definitely not the best time to start.
If you haven't yet thought about opening up to the world of the Web, do it as soon as possible so that you are prepared in advance.

Sincere suggestion!
